RESULTS OF ENTRANCE EXAM 2013-14
  1. The results are provisional and subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions prescribed in the prospectus. The interse ranking of the candidates who have got the same marks has been decided based on the criteria given in the prospectus.
  2. Selected and waitlisted candidates will be getting the admission letters from respective HODs. Even if there is a postal delay, the selected candidates who possess the prescribed qualifications are required to report to the HODs on prescribed day based on the result notified in the web-site with all marks statement of 12th/UG/PG degree, Provisional Degree Certificate, Nativity Certificate, Income Certificate, Caste/Community Certificate, 3 passport photographs, soft copy of passport size color photograph in CD (for library & ID card) and prescribed fees. For further enquires, candidates may contact the Head of the concerned Department
  3. Candidates whose final exam results have not yet been declared, may also report for admission with all the available certificates & mark statements. They may be considered for admission, on provisional basis, subject to production of final marklist & provisional certificates on or before 1st September 2013.
  4. Course wise schedule of admission for different PG Courses is given in Annexure.
  5. Selected candidates are advised to report to the Head of concerned Department for admission on the prescribed date by 10.00 a.m as per admission schedule, along with the call letter, original certificates and required fee amount (including the Hostel fee, wherever required).
  6. Details of unfilled vacancies, if any, will be notified in the University website two days after the prescribed date of admission of the selected candidates. The candidates in Wait list I may report to the Head of concerned Department for admission, against unfilled vacancies, if any, as per the order of merit in the waitlist, as per schedule given in Annexure. Left over vacancies, if any, will be notified in the website on or before 15th July 2013 and candidates from Waitlist-II will be considered for admission on 19th July 2013.
  7. Ph.D University Depts:
    The overall merit list of Ph.D candidates along with Select list & Wait list is available in the website for information of the applicants. The admission for Ph.D programmes of Select list candidates will be held in the respective Department during 15-17 July 2013. Vacancies, if any, will be notified on or before 19 July 2013 in the website. The wait listed candidate will be admitted during 24-26 July 2013 against notified vacancies in the order of merit. The Students who have applied and got selected for more than one Ph.D programme should come prepared for staying one more day.
  8. Ph.D –Affiliated Institutions:
    The Admission to the Ph.D courses offered at Affiliated institutions will be processed separately as per the merit and intimated to the candidates by respective institutions in due course.
  9. Admission of candidates under different categories is subject to the production of caste/community/nativity certificates, wherever applicable. Candidates (including BC/MBC) selected under OBC quota will be given admission only on the production of Non-Creamy Layer OBC Certificate issued by the competent authority.
  10. Regular classes for first year of the P.G. Courses will commence on 15 July 2013.
  11. The allocation of the institution in respect of the M.Sc. Computational Biology, M.Sc (Medical Anatomy), M.Sc (Medical Biochemistry) M.Sc (Medical Microbiology) M.Sc (Medical Pharmacology) and M.Sc (Medical Physiology) will be decided through separate counseling to decide the choice of the Institution.   12. In respect M.P.Ed., course, the provisional over all merit list, select and wait list will be finalized and released after the Physical fitness and games proficiency tests.

Educational Qualifications :

G.O.Ms.No.116, P&AR(M) Department, dated18.08.2010 and as prescribed in G.O(Ms).NO.242 Higher Education (B1) Department Dated,18.12.2012. No other order / pattern will be accepted.
(e) The prescribed qualification for each and every subject and its equivalent
qualifications are shown in Annexure – VII (posted in TRB website). No
other candidates are eligible to apply.

The Human Resource Development (HRD) Group of COUNCIL OF SCIENTIFIC AND INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH (CSIR), New Delhi, provides opportunities to bright young men and women in the form of Senior Research Fellowships  (SRFs)/ SRF (Extended)/ Research Associateships (RAs) for training in
methods of research under the expert guidance of faculty members/scientists working in universities, laboratories and institutes of Government Departments and recognised laboratories of industry in various fields of science and technology.
Preference will be given to the research topics relevant to R&D programmes of CSIR Laboratories, in the new and emerging fields of science and in the areas of importance for development of scientific and technological capability of the country. The Fellowships/ Associateships are tenable in all the universities and deemed universities/IITs/postgraduate colleges/government research establishments including those of CSIR, R&D establishments of recognised public sector, industrial firms and other recognised institutions. Only bonafide Indian citizens are eligible for the award. The award is for fixed tenure and does not imply any assurance or guarantee for subsequent employment by CSIR to the beneficiary. CSIR reserves the right to determine the place in India best suited to provide necessary facilities in the areas of science in which the awardee is to specialize. Selected Fellows and Associates will have to devote their full time to the approved research programmes. Fellows and Associates are not permitted to take up any other remunerative jobs/assignments during their tenure.
 
A.SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
MSc/BE/BTech or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have completed at least two years of post MSc/BE/BTech research experience as on the last date of application, as evidenced from fellowship/ associateship or from date of registration for Ph.D.
OR
MTech/ME or equivalent degree in engineering/technology with at least 60% marks.
OR
BE/BTech or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks and two years research experience as on the last date of application.
OR
MBBS/BDS or equivalent with at least 60% marks and one year internship.
OR
BPharm/BVSc/BSc(Ag) or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have completed at least three years research experience as on the last date of application, evidenced from fellowship/associateship or from date of registration for Ph.D.
OR
MPharm/MVSc/MSc(Ag) or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have at least one year research experience as on the last date of application, evidenced from fellowship / associateship or from date of registration for Ph.D.

Documents in support of research, teaching (not below the undergraduate level) experience and Ph.D. registration should be attached.
Those who have been awarded PhD/MD/MS/MDS degree or have submitted their thesis for the award of PhD/MD/MS/MDS degrees are not eligible for the position of SRF. Those who are eligible for RA will not be considered for SRF.
 
EMPLOYED CANDIDATES:
These fellowships are held on a full time basis. Therefore simultaneous employment elsewhere is not permitted. However, those desirous of pursuing higher studies, but employed presently, whether temporary or permanent may apply with an undertaking that if selected, they will resign from the job before taking up the fellowship. The application will be rejected if the undertaking is not enclosed.
STIPEND AND TENURE:
 For Science disciplines: Rs. 18000/- per month for 1 , 2 and 3 year. For Medical/Veterinary/Pharmacy, Engineering and equivalent disciplines with PG degree: Rs. 18000/-p.m. for the 1 and 2nd year and Rs. 20,000/-p.m. for the 3 and 4 year. In addition, each SRF will receive a contingent grant of a maximum Rs. 20,000/-p.a. The grant will be provided to the University/Institution with which the SRF will be affiliated. SRFs will be given Rs. 3000/- (lump sum) extra on submission of Ph.D thesis in e-form. SRF will be tenable initially for a period of two years. The term is extendable by one year on the basis of assessment of the progress already made. Those who have held or are holding equivalent fellowships awarded under various schemes of all India grant giving agencies such as DST, DBT,ICMR, UGC, ICAR etc. may apply subject to the condition that the total tenure inclusive of CSIR
fellowship shall not exceed three years. Those who have already availed, or would have availed by 31 March 2014, equivalent fellowship etc. for 3 years need not apply. The combined tenure of JRF, if any, and SRF will not exceed five years. SRF will be terminated from the date of PhD viva voce or completion of tenure whichever is earlier. Those who are already holding equivalent fellowship
should specify the reason for applying. The application is likely to be rejected if the reason is not specified.
